I've this female mantis for some time now and she mated, laid eggs and died two days later. I wanted to preserve her and found strange circular markings on the forewings. However the strangest thing is that the abdomen is bright red on top. It is strange because this is Mantis religiosa, and it doesn't have these markings...any ideas?
