Named for their gorgeous colour are the resident pair of Hyacinth Macaws at Vancouver Aquarium’s Amazon exhibit. These two purple gentle giants belong to the largest species in the parrot family. Photographed at the tail end of a high-traffic day. They are either sleepy, or getting bored with all the attention.
