    Reported by:

In 2009 I was fortunate to have been at Ol Pejeta Conservancy Kenya when my colleagues and I noticed Ma walking along side the road. Max was a white rhino who was raised semi-wild by game keepers until 4 years of age when he returned to the wild. In 2010, even though his horn was removed, game wardens found Max dead, the victim of poaching. If poaching continues at the current rate it is possible that African elephants and rhino may be gone within 15 years.
