Diving off an island in Canada during January is not a "bucket list" item for most people, but it's worthwhile if you want to photograph Steller Sea Lions (Eumetopias jubatus). This Threatened species migrates to Hornby Island (80 miles NW of Vancouver) each winter from as far north as the Bering Sea to feed on the herring gathering there to spawn. The juveniles were curious and came close, perhaps seeing their reflection in the dome port of the camera's housing.
