The beautiful smile of Chola Cuencana
The citizens of Cuenca, in the Ecuadorian Andes, are a wonderful mix of the Spanish conquerors and the Cañaris, which are the original people that lived there, long before the Incas. Every year, in December, the El Niño Parade takes place in the city and the rich heritage of these cultures become a colorful explosion of music, dances and costumes.
