My first weekend in Scotland, I went for a hike on the edge of town. I took this shot right before I reached the top of the Salisbury Crags, where the city then unfolded beneath me in a sprawl of nooks and crannies and cobblestone. Little did I know as I took this picture, I was only a few footsteps away from falling in love. To me, this isn't a photograph, but a beautiful moment that divided my life into a "before" and "after" -- this is the moment I found my home in Edinburgh.
