This is one of hundreds of hard working men in the yam crop fields in Nakpayili, Northern Region of Ghana. Temperature that day was around 98°F (37°C) and dry. "Agricultural crops, including yams, grains, cocoa, oil palms, kola nuts, and timber, form the base of agriculture in Ghana's economy." "During the winter months (from late November to early March), winds from the northeast bring dust from the Sahara. Known as the Harmattan, these can reduce visibility to just one kilometer."
