My fourteen year old son and I went up to Mount Hood in early November so that I could take some good photos of the mountain at sunrise. We checked in at the Mazamas lodge where we were booked for the night, then headed down to the lake to scout for a location. After finding just the right spot and watching the sun sink below the horizon, we went back and slept in the bunk room at the lodge, popped up the next morning long before sun-up and made it back down to the lake in time for this view.
