I saw this Waxbill in the side of a very crowded avenue in Sao Paulo City. It was quietly eating some seeds. This bird is native to sub-Saharan Africa and came to Brazil in the ships that trade goods from India, a few decades ago. Now they are very well adapted to the big city. Maybe more than I am!
