The southern shore of Lake Superior, facing East, has got to be one of the best places to watch our Moon rise, the blue hour being the best of hours. Typically I would photograph the Moon with a telephoto lens but as I watched this happen, it struck me in a way similar to a sunrise. I decided to shoot a few frames as though it were by including everything from the pebble beach, the Moon's reflection on the water, stars, and a lighthouse.
