Winter sun in Lewis
The first few days following Christmas 2014 saw unseasonably fine weather on the Isle of Lewis. As the most Northerly of the chain of Scotland's Outer Hebrides, Lewis is well accustomed to terrible winds and driving rain at this time of year. We made the most of it and headed to the beach. Our normal haunt at North Tolsta was ruled out because of ice. Just as well or I would have missed this photo of my daughter playing in the surf at Coll beach, bathed in the beautiful sunlight.
