This was my road trip in Colorado. I havn't been in this place for 4 years already. The road heading to the Great Sand Dune National Park is a the only entry in and out of the park. The entire park was almost empty as the temperature in the mid winter is still excruciatingly cold. It was almost New Year's Eve. The probably last two rangers in the park was rushing to close the visitor center before 4:30. As most of the park was already closed it left me nothing to do in the park for the day.
