Mother of 50.000 Babys
This pretty female Peacock Mantis Shrimp I observed in parental care. The females lay up to 50,000 eggs and carry them around with you about 10 weeks. During this time, they take no food. Mantis shrimp can live for several years. But beware, the front legs are worked out to clubs. So the Shrimps (smashers) can dish out heavy blows and break the bones of a human finger or the Glass of a Camera Port.
