Just across from my hotel in Vientiane was a restaurant/bar that served a favorite local dish, so I went over. At tables around me, people were enjoying this special recipe featuring crickets, grasshoppers and silk worms. When they ran out of places to seat more people, they set up additional tables on the sidewalk.
