    This photo was made on May 16th, 2011 in Maplesville, Alabama. I had noticed that some of the House Finches seemed to large to fit on my standard feeders. So I scattered some bird seed on a nearby ledge. This male seemed quite pleased with the idea. And he obviously prefers sunflower seeds.
