The Last Great Classical Mosque
The Sultan Ahmed Mosque or popularly known as The Blue Mosque for the blue tiles adorning the walls of its interior is one of the top historic sight in Istanbul. It was built by Sultan Ahmet I to reassert Ottoman power from 1609 to 1616. You would not want to miss this during your Istanbul visit due to its magnificent architecture and history.
