    Reported by:

The young cottonmouth snake fights for its life against a determined greater roadrunner. Careful to avoid being bitten the roadrunner attempts to catch the snake by its mouth as its beak is impervious to the fangs. This behavior had been undocumented and thanks to Dr. Steen of Auburn University Museum of Natural History it has been added as a new natural history note for the roadrunner. Soon to be published in Herpetological Review.
