    Reported by:

After a long and windy drive through many climates, clouds and rainstorms we reached the crater at Mt Haleakala to witness one of the most spectacular sunsets we had ever seen. I shot this from the highest point at 10,020 feet. It was a long cold waiting game(compared to the 80 degree temperature at sea level) and a small hike above a space observatory on a ridge, but well worth the wait. The colours changed every second and it was an overcast sea of clouds, the silence had a sound of its own.
