Growing up, I struggled over how to answer to people who expected me to know everything about my birthplace. The Mazatlán Through My Eyes series is a documentation of the daily life in my hometown. One of my goals as a artist is to give outsiders a different view of the culture in my native Mexico, while examining the elusive concept of homeland.
