By luck we happened upon a parade of of boys, age seven and older, dressed in bright colored clothes as part of the Shinbyu ceremony to be admitted to the Buddhist Sangha. The boys will go to school at the monastery for a minimum of three months following the ceremony. Some will return at 20 to become ordained monks. I snapped this shot on my iPhone 6 and the photo came out with such colors and texture it reminds me of a painting.
