This image was taken at the Rockland Psychiatric Center in Orangeburg, New York for the First Light Assignment. The facility, while up and running today, houses some abandoned buildings from earlier decades. Those buildings are gloomy, shuttered, and downright spooky. I thought some morning sunshine would cast a softer contrast to the usual countenance these structures sport. Not entirely.
