Having been away from Norway for Christmas, I arrived back in the small village of Grimerud for the weekend before taking a coach back to Ålesund. The journey took us through breathtaking scenery, past the Olympic site at Lillehammer, through dry, thickly blanketed winter wonderlands and eventually through to the slightly warmer coast. On the way I was loving getting my first experience of ice driving with studded winter tyres. The Norwegians are an incredible and savvy bunch with winter!
