We are hoping this male Northern Shoveler will survive our winter in the Ottawa area as they are supposed to fly down south in the fall. No idea why it stayed behind as it seems to be able to fly and doesn't look sick at all. I think he followed the Mallards but they stay here in the winter. Poor thing.
