The Blue Gulmohar (Jacaranda mimosifolia D. Don.) trees don’t resemble the famous Gulmohar trees that we all know of. Also the flowers are of a purple hue. These trees bloom in March. There are quite a few of them at Lal Bagh. On a lovely morning with clear blue skies, this one near the Pigeon House in Lal Bagh perfectly complements the architecture of the red and white edifice which was built in the 19th century to house pigeons.
