Although named the sea lion they are distant relatives to the feline family. They originate from the canine family and splitting off the bear family after they split from dogs. Although they still have a loud roaring sound and the males can even have manes. Here a sea lion is swimming on it's back in the clear blue water of it's aquarium at the zoo. They have been used in zoo attractions and have also been used by the U.S Navy to help with underwater missions and protection.
