    I find it amazing the power of nature to change it's landscape. Each year a number of ice ridges form on the lake as pressure causes weak areas to buckle. Some of these ridges are miles long and as in this case 6 or more feet high. They are always a beautiful sight on the landscape. As with other winter images I find converting to black and white works best for some ice and snow images.
