My mama is an epitome of strength and sheer optimism. She took over after my father passed away almost a decade ago. She had to play the role of a father and friend and did so, excellently. She picked up the threads where he left off and surprised everyone and herself but I always had faith in mama. She gave me space to grow and encouraged me to explore the world as well as myself. She trusts and loves me fiercely. I do not know where would I have been today had it not been for her.
