This shot is taken from a dingy 2nd floor workshop of a musical instrument maker in Pune. I was there to pick up some parts needed to redo the heads of my son's tabla (percussion instrument). The shop on street level and the workshop upstairs were packed with musical instruments, stringed and percussion, new and old, in various stages of being built or repaired. The picture was taken mid-afternoon, late January, using a smart phone camera while, I was waiting for my order.
