    In the 1960’s, Walt Disney had plans to build a resort in this valley but the barely paved, narrow, curvy road and preservationists who wanted to “Keep Mineral King Natural” hindered the development. Recently, I stumbled upon a sketch of what could’ve been (http://www.yesterland.com/mineralking.html).
