In the fall I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to travel to New Mexico for the annual Balloon Fiesta. This photograph was taken around 4:30am at the pre-dawn flight. Typically, I prefer crisp lines in a photograph but I think that there is a dream-like quality to this that really captures the childlike wonder one feels when watching the balloons set sail. One day, I hope to return to the festival to photograph again.
