I escaped the frigid and wet weather of south Louisiana last month to travel to Okinawa, Japan for a visit with my son who is stationed there. I arrived only to find the weather about the same as it was back home. When I found out Spring had sprung in Okinawa and the annual Cherry Blossom Festival was going on that week only, I was more than excited to travel to Nago to see the first signs of Spring. Breathtaking and beautiful.
