I'm very lucky to work in a building that a few pairs of nesting Peregrine Falcons have called home. Since the 1970's, they have been making a comeback (they were endangered due to DDT use). Usually found in high-cliff areas, they are also known to frequent high-rise structures. They can reach speeds over 200 mph in a high-speed hunting dive. This was a shot taken of one leaving a ledge on my office building.
