In honor of World Wildlife Day, here is a shot of an adult female white shark as she swims off the coast of Isla de Guadalupe. Rays of sunlight dance through the water with the ripples of the surface creating a ever-changing patterns across the skin of the shark. While a protected species in these waters, the white shark is still a potential target for poachers, due to the value of their teeth and jaws on the black market.
