Looking behind me at sunset at Apostle Island Ice Caves I saw this view of a fallen ice formation. Hard to imagine something this heavy falling 20 or more feet and not breaking the ice beneath it. The sound that must make! This was one of my final 2 shots before the long walk back to the car. I wish light like this would last forever - but it vanishes so fast. The forces of nature on display in the setting sun.
