Watching the Barred Owl in the day we are usually happy just to see him wake and snooze and blink a bit, but this time was different. He was hungry. After a little bit of stretching he took off and grabbed this vole on the first try. I can't be sure that he didn't stash it, but it looked to me like he swallowed it whole.
