It was my first time visiting the Philippines. I was there to meet my family including my grandmother for the first time. To know my roots and to get to know my culture was a life altering experience. Upon taking pictures around the city, this particular man caught my attention. I wanted to get to know his life story since it seemed like he had many stories to tell. The language barrier was problem so instead I asked if I could take his picture. I wanted to document his story through a photo.
