Edit Photo Details Orion and the Dredge
This is known as the "Dredge" in our local area and was once used in the early copper mining days in the Upper Peninsula. It has since been abandoned and continues to sit off the shore of the Portage Canal and is now a major attraction for tourists and locals, alike. It shows a great deal of transition in its old panels and sinking motion, as the Earth is slowly and surely claiming it as it sits day after day, night after night, watching the stars pass by.
