In the outskirts of Richmond, Virginia, while visiting various Civil War battlefields, I came upon some huge fields of yellow mustard plants. They were so spectacular and unexpected, especially given that there were some suburban developments located across the road from these fields. This view represents only one small portion of the fields of gold.
