This was a rather large katydid I found while walking down the local road in Russell, Massachusetts. He was screeking at me quite vigorously as I tried to encourage him to finish crossing the road. One hind leg was slightly injured but this did not deter him from boldly complaining at me the whole while; he never once tried to fly away.
