I have seen the aurora every single year for as long as I can remember, I'm lucky. But when the Earth was hit by a massive geomagnetic storm last Tuesday, I was treated to the most amazing show I have ever seen. At the beginning of the night, before the sky exploded with color and light, for the first time in my life I got to see the rare blue aurora. I have never before felt so alive, so at one with nature and the universe. Truly awe-inspiring.
