The Maasai people who live in Magadi have it about as hard as it gets. Searing temperatures along with extreme water and food shortages makes this one of the more challenging places to live in the world. I found this young woman standing in the bush watching as we distributed water bottles to her family. She seemed to me, without even trying, to possess all the poise and strength of a person much older than her years.
