A fishermen untangles nets to get ready for the days activities. The Cucapa fishing season is about 16 days long split among 3 months. The days are broken up by high and low tides determined by the pull of the moon. A 7.2 earthquake in 2010 has made it impossible to reach the traditional Cucapa fishing ground and this 2 mile stretch of dirt road has now become an epicenter of Cucapa life during february, March and April
