Japanese cherry blossoms!
Japanese cherry tree in full bloom. Cherry viewing is one of the most popular events in Japanese culture! From the beginning of April, Japanese cherry trees will be in full bloom for a very brief period (about 2-3 weeks!) People gather below the gorgeous, but fragile blossoms, to celebrate the beginning of spring, and also, the fleeting timespan of beauty. They eat, drink and strengthen the bonds of friendship, under the blossoms.
