In Rocky Mountain National Park, the landscape wouldn't be the same without the iconic aspen trees. Unfortunately, many of the trees that grow directly on the trails have been carved into, leaving messages of love, adventure, or just the initials of those who have ventured into the mountains. These scars stay there forever. This tree is like a time capsule. Its scars show us a piece of the lives of those who left their mark in this wild landscape. It is a tree of life.
