I had a broken piece of pottery from a scuba dive, and some other blue things and put them together intending to paint them. Instead I had the photo printed, mounted the photo in a frame and it's my favorite "out of the box" piece. The broken edges break the plane of the shadow, the feather breaks the plane of the plate, and the curve of the plate balances the grid of the tiles below it.
