I kept trying to capture the way my daughter's feet turned in when she walked, something I knew would disappear as she got older. My attempts were usually while she was walking and it just never represented the moment I wanted to capture. As she was swinging one day at the park, I saw this in the reflection and knew this was my opportunity to freeze this moment in time. It wasn't the photo I had planned; the opportunity found me at the most unexpected time and I seized it.
