I drove up to Elk Island National Park outside of Edmonton Alberta, I wasnt expecting much as Edmonton seems to be the hub for all things environmentally bad (oil sands) It got worse as we drove through the East edge of Edmonton, just massive refinerys and such....disgusting.
Finally we arrived at EINP, and I was pleasantly surprised, saw my first moose, beavers and wood buffaloes in Canada, and oh this sunset was incredible.
Still not sure why its called Elk Island though...
