Thousands of visitors each year visit the Korean War Veterans Memorial in the District of Columbia. Enclosed within the walled triangle are 19 stainless steel statues representing a squad on patrol. Each branch of the United States armed forces are represented. Patriotism has always been a hallmark of our country, and while the Korean War is often referred to as "The Forgotten War," nearly 6.8 million American men and women of countless ethnicities and backgrounds fought for this patriotism.
