    Reported by:

I had been photographing Deadvlei at sunset one evening and was packing up to leave. As the sun went down, a faint Milky Way came out and I could resist a shot of this lone, dead tree. This really summed up the mixture of beauty and eeriness that you feel from standing in this place. ///uptight.endangers.free

This single tree is beautiful in it's solitude. The stark silhouette against the purple night sky is mood evoking yet subtle.
