Bleak beach
The beach at Aldeburgh, Suffolk on the East coast of England, is bleak with steep stony shelves leading down to the sea. There are narrow strips of sand to relieve your feet when the tide goes out. Aldeburgh will always have an important place in my heart, as I associate it with my 1st. visit there back in 1965 when I won a grant to attend a week of free concerts at Benjamin Britten's wonderful music festival. I fell in love with the place and I'm very happy that my Mother now lives there.
